Design & Access Statement

From 10 August 2006, you may need to submit a Design and Access Statement (DAS) with your planning application. A DAS must accompany applications for both outline and full applications, and will generally be required for listed building consent, applications within conservation areas and for all commercial applications. 

A DAS is a written document covering several issues relating to an application. They may include:

- Extension design details including materials to be used
- Appearance
- Access issues - alterations or additions
- Disabled access
- Proximity to local amenities and public transport
- Parking
- Landscaping
- Environmental issues

 

We can provide a DAS for your application if required. We will research issues relating to your particular proposal, discussing issues with your council, taking into consideration their views and any possible areas of objection.
